Could the Netherlands request extradition of the suspects?

Both the Russian and Ukrainian constitution do not allow extradition of their own nationals. Therefore the Netherlands will not send extradition requests to these countries.

It has been agreed with Ukraine that Ukrainian suspects could possibly be interrogated via a video connection. The Russian Federation is requested to cooperate through legal assistance requests to be able to hear the defendants. The Public Prosecution Service is doing everything it can for the suspects toe be able to tell their side of the story.
