Fourth suspect to remain in custody for longer due to involvement in Drenthe art theft
The chamber of the North-Nederlands court has decided today to extend the pre-trial detention of a 26-year-old man from Heerhugowaard by ninety days. He is suspected of involvement in the art heist at the Drents Museum.
All four suspects remain under restrictions, despite multiple objections being filed against these measures. The court has rejected these objections, meaning the suspects are only allowed to communicate with their lawyer. The first public hearing in this case is scheduled for May 9, 2025, at the court in Assen.
